Born from a personal journey
Croatian Roots was founded in Zagreb with a single purpose: to make the path to Croatian citizenship by descent accessible to everyone who is entitled to it — regardless of where in the world they were born or how many generations removed they are from Croatia.
For too long, the process was opaque, expensive, and frustrating. Applicants had to navigate archives in a language they didn't speak, source documents from parishes and municipalities with no guidance, and hope their translation was accepted by the Ministry of Interior.
We built Croatian Roots to solve every one of those problems — combining legal expertise, certified translation, and AI-powered analysis into a single, guided process.
